Wishful Thinking

Even though I am not in Taos at the moment, I am trying to imagine that I am. It is supposed to be snowy and cold there, not so much here! I have been stuck in the house all day, apart from the few minutes that I made the spaniels run up and down the street! I am happy we have not worked for the past couple of days but as always, fearful that the roof of the Hobby Hut will be on the ground at any minute.

I still have power and cable.... Yayyyyy!!! And hopefully tomorrow some painting will get done, but for now I will just imagine being in Taos... One even better, a beach!

Krispy Kreme

Instead of ice cream…we made it to Krispy Kreme instead. I am sure Oscar would have approved.

Ice Cream

Today might be a good day for ice cream.  It's been a year today that we had to let my little buddy go.  Time does fly.  He did live a long life, hopefully a good one.  He seemed to enjoy it!  So today I will scarf something he would approve of and think about all of the fun we had over the years.

For all of my bitching and complaining about dealing with animals..none of which is true by the way…I would not trade a minute of it.  Who wouldn't love to clean pee, just because someone was in a mood, or spending money at the vet when it should have gone to Target with me for some shopping fun!

Quite simply, I miss him.

Cutie Pie

Not exactly hot, but I will take it.  Days like this makes me want to run out and start planting, but not yet.  Blanche got to hang out in the sun in her "corset", as Dave calls it.  For fun on sunday all 5 of us got in the car and drove to McDonalds to share some fries…. probably not a healthy treat, but a bite or two won't hurt.  Blanche is getting over her nerves of riding in the car so a quick snack makes it all better.

Cold!!!!!

It is cold….period. We don't like cold down here, so we are just going to imagine we are hanging out  on the beach!!!!! I think it is supposed to be in the 60's on Saturday. Since I am a plant grower, market goer, my seeding is not getting off to a good start. Let's cross our paws that the sweet peas get going soon.

Making plans

Happy New Year!!!!  Last year definitely had it's ups and downs, but it's time to start over with those resolutions, that will probably last about a month!  At least at my house.  Lots of planning to do and recipes to try and seeds to plant so I better get going!!!

Holiday Fun!!!!

It's that time of year!  I love to decorate my house and bake with fancy holiday cookie cutters. As I always say, pooches don't care about shapes, but I do!! This is the big blowout of the year as far as sales go.  The Farmers Markets are closed for a couple of months so that leaves me with a bit of free time to try new things and sleep late on saturdays!

This is the first Christmas the new little "family" will spend with us, so I am hoping no one likes to gnaw on tree ornaments but knowing them I am sure one of them will…….. I put my money on Max.
