Summer Travels
Next weekend I will be embarking on my first summer trip. The three of us are going to Nashville! Haven't been in probably 30 years..yikes..so it will be like the first time. I still remember having my photo made in front of the Ryman Theater. I was also underaged at the time so my activities were limited, not to say that I would have only perused bars but I know there is a whole music scene that at times requires you to be able to get in the club. Look forward to window shopping too, with a stress on the word window. I am getting better at not buying a whole bunch of crap but sometimes those little overpriced trinkets have such a draw it is unbelievable. Even to me, a professional cheap person.
Going to try the Sunday market again this Sunday. I don't imagine it will be as great as last time but I will gladly take my 25.00 to spend in Nashville.
This past Saturday I debuted my peanut butter cookies for humans...even though my market buddy Joan said not to use the work human! Pretty good response. Need to make them a bit browner without making them too crispy. They are still moist after 4 days. I remember how long it took to get the perfect, at least in my mind, consistency and color for an Oscar Bite so I have learned a little bit of patience.
Happy Tuesday!

Baking Machine
Over the past few years I have learned how to bake....alot in a short period of time. There are some of my flavors that still take a bit of time, mainly because the ingredients are difficult to work with ....I'm talking to you brown rice flour. But for my top sellers I can really churn out. Just like anything else a person does over and over. I can still make a margarita to die for in a blink of an eye!
I've always wondered how it would feel to have so many orders that I have to chain myself to the stove. Maybe one day I will find out and I will not be sitting at this desk all day. Until then..I've got to go home and bake!

Backyard Buddies
I am obsessed with getting a couple of hens for the backyard. Getting the girls is the easy part. Creating a magical space for them to reside in is the tough part. Obviously the coop has to be spectacular, which means expensive. I am not having my hens living in squaller! I am searching and searching for the perfect coop that I can add onto and make a wonderland for them and for me! Or find a pot of gold that will help me pay for it. How exciting to have my own eggs for my baked treats. Sounds like a plan. I have always liked chickens and as long as I know I have a home that will take them in if anything happens to me I am all for it. Hope the neighbors feel the same way!

Mothers Day
It's that time of year...trying to find a great gift to give my mom. It's sometimes so hard to hit the right one and I end up getting her one of my go to gifts I know (or hope) she enjoys. I have an idea about this year but just have to find the right one.
Now if I were going to give a gift to my fave mama dog, I know that our Pudgie Ball gift jars would
I used to get Mothers Day gifts from my herd of beasts but no so much anymore. Guess someone hasn't bothered to take them shopping. It's okay, I know they love me. After all, they do share their bed with me. That has to be love...right

Lula!!
Thinking about my dream job makes me remember my buddy Lula. Dave's mom and I took a little ride on this cutie while visiting the island of Fuerteventura. Can't say that Lula had a great time. She is probably sick and tired of schlepping people up and down the beach, but when in Rome.......

Wanderlust
Even though I was on a trip about 5 months ago, I feel like it is time to hit the road again. In 2009 when I was visiting my in-laws in the Canary Islands I found my new job. This McDonalds sits on a street overlooking the sea! I would happily ask if you would like fries with that for the view I would have all day!
Oh well, maybe someday! I do hear the island of Lanzarote calling my name.

Banana Bites
We have a banana bite that is a cookie...and we love it. But I was thinking about taking it one step further and actually have a banana to bite. I have always seen the frozen banana pops all over the internet and think they are adorable. So why not make them dog friendly..i.e. no chocolate. Carob works just fine. i think my 3 little demons have been fairly well behaved this week so this might be their lucky night!
