Aftermath

Well Pet Con came and went.  I did okay, not as well as I had hoped and started the day out with a semi-panic attack due to the "misplacement" of my phone.  Luckily my buddy Stephanie kept me laughing and the phone was eventually recovered..by my mom no less.  Got plenty left, so taking a quick break from baking...just a couple of orders to fill before the big adventure overseas.  Beginning next Saturday to be exact.  The reason is still a downer but not much I can do about that.  Just happy to be going!

Baking for Days

Two days from the Pet Expo and I can't tell you how many pans like this I have baked.  I am excited to see what the Expo is like.  May or may not be the right fit for me, but trying things at least once is always good.  

Hopefully there will be plenty of adorable bulldogs there to keep me company! I certainly wish the man himself could be there, or even little Blanche.  Maybe when Blanche becomes a better traveler she can join in.  

Trying out the new Turkey/Bacon treats on saturday...they certainly smell good to me!

Banana's and Betsy

I always like taking photos with my iPhone.  So convenient when running around and you don't have space to carry camera and phone.  So that said, I need some lessons on how to make my treats look good.  I would like to think the treats speak for themselves but not everyone has the opportunity to see them in their natural habitat.

My bestie roomie of all time is a potter...you have met her before.  I am always grabbing her "throw aways" and I feel like I could open my own small gallery.  I think her little bird plate adds just the right amount of color to the Blanche Bites.

Speaking of Miss Blanche, she is really coming out of her shell.  In fact she won't stop barking at us.  It is only when she wants something.  She is really cute but needs a little lesson in manners.  She will never get those lessons from her father so it will be up to me and that will be hard because she is the cutest little demon ever!

Newbies

OK...the turkey bacon bites have completed the first stage. I baked them.  They are actually currently in the second stage...how long will they keep before they should not be kept any longer.  I am thinking the life span might be similar to the rest of our tasty treats, but I have to be sure....

But, I got my new Joy the Baker baking book yesterday and can't wait to break out the mixing bowls for me!

Happy Candy Month!

It's October!!! It's getting cool around here, luckily still warm enough for people to complain about the temperature.  I hope to ride out the sunny heat as long as possible.  Blanche made her calendar debut for this year and she is a cutie! Who wouldn't want to take this girl trick or treating???!!!!!

She is hoping to get some extra Halloween treats and it she is good, who knows.  We have been baking a lot to get ready for the Pet Expo in November.  No matter if the sales are good or bad, the experience will be worth all of the long hours that are being put into the planning and preparation for it....I think.

A very Happy Day!

It is so great when a person that I don't even know calls me up to bake a cake for their pet! Makes me feel all professional inside.  This purple ..peanut butter/banana delight was for "Money Maker", a rescued greyhound.  He turned 3 surrounded by his loving family and a tasty cake. Happy Birthday Money!!!!!

Wishful thinking

   It would be so great to look at this, or something similar on a regular basis.  To each his own. I am a sea girl..not to be confused with a gull.  Though at times I can put away some Cheetos as quickly as a flock of seagulls can.  A girl can always dream.......
